What Do I mean by a toxic environment?. A toxic environment is any surroundings where a person's welfare and well-being is not at peace. If you find yourself with people who make you feel less worthy, anxious or interfering with your mental, physical and emotional health then you might be in a toxic environment.

A woman who knows the importance of self-love, self-worth and self-respect, does not stay in an environment that is not worth living. Walking away does not mean you are weak, but it indicates that you are vigorous, brave and unbreakable. As a matter of fact "A woman is unstoppable after she realises she deserves better” Yene D. Nothing stands in her way when she no longer feels appreciated, worthy or valued.

For a woman to be bold enough to leave an environment that consistently interferes with her peace of mind, it takes a lot of courage and strength. When a woman detaches herself it does not mean she has not been patient because there are problems or issues worth abandoning rather than losing oneself. I believe there is only one originality; the rest is a copy from the original product. Likewise, you are the original, do not expect to get a copy of yourself because it has less value. It is crucial to move on when your mental, physical and emotional health is at risk.

It is vital to take care of our bodies as well as taking care of our mental and emotional health. When you know the importance of self-worth, your mind and emotions are more likely to be at peace. Leaving an environment which can not seem to make you grow in any way will only keep on breaking you down every single day. Once you have learned to love yourself first, you tend to be mentally, emotionally and physically happy.

One way you can build your self-worth in a toxic environment is to leave because you can never heal in the same environment that made you sick in the first place. In the same way, “You must find courage to leave the table, if respect is no longer being served” Tene Edwards. Yes, it takes courage and willingness but trust me the reward at the end is worth it. People will surely hurt you in the process although it will not stop you from reaching your destination. Like Charles H. Spurgeon said, “Growth can be painful, change can be painful although nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you do not belong”. You are a strong, beautiful and confident woman and you deserve better than having to put up with people who make you feel undeserving and unappreciated.

One thing to keep in mind is that you should not seek self-worth after you have realised you have been in a toxic environment. Self-worth should always be within no matter where you go and who you meet. Likewise, if you feel like a relationship you are in is causing you grief then having the courage to end the relationship is the only thing that will set you free. Once you know your worth and value, you will come to a point in life where you no longer depend on other people to be your source of happiness.
