The WHY Campaign is committed to protecting your personal information and data. This means we:

  • to ensure and respect your personal information and data is only used and stored in accordance with all applicable laws.

  • to ensure we never misuse or process your data in any way that would breach your confidentiality you would not reasonably expect. This means we will-

  • store your personal data safely, securely to use for empowering leading women directed purposes only.

  • we will never share, sell or give your personal information or data to any third party unless required to do so by Government authorities except in situations to which you would reasonable expect us to do so such as ‘introducing’ you to persons who form part of your ‘team’ for The WHY Campaign. 

  • A representative of The WHY Campaign may contact you (volunteers) with responsibility for a campaign, or event or workshop but only for the purpose of that event or workshop.

  • we will never not record your banking or credit card details once the transaction has been processed.

Safety and Security

You have a number of rights relating to your personal information and data including to:

  • know why your personal information and data is collected

  • know how your information is used, by whom and to whom it will be disclosed

  • have access to view your personal information

  • request correction and rectification of your personal information and data

  • ask us to delete some or all of your information

  • make a complaint if you consider your information and data has been mishandled

This website collects information and data about you directly from you

  • variety of subscriptions application forms [eg. workshops, membership application forms and event booking forms]

  • registration at our events

  • emails you have sent us directly

  • social media sites in which you have engaged with us

On occasion, we may add information about you received from another person where we have reasonable confidence that it is relevant and accurate. This typically happens when someone else registers you, gift voucher nomination, attended for an event| workshop and we have a reasonable belief that you gave consent for them to do so.

The WHY Campaign typically collects and stores the following personal data and information:

  • your name and contact details

  • campaign events you have attended

  • products and/or donations and volunteer commitments you have made to The WHY Campaign

From time to time, and only as appropriate, we may collect the following personal data and information:

  • your date of birth, business | employment details, educational/ professional role

The WHY Campaign may use the data we collect about you to contact you by email, letter, phone or via other technological and social media platform.

If any of your relevant personal details or information change, or if you become aware that we have inaccurate personal information and data relating to you, please contact us so that we can correct and update our records.
The WHY Campaign is not responsible for any losses arising from any inaccurate, inauthentic, deficient or incomplete personal information and data that you have provided us.
